A: Any Canadian resident who is 14 years of age or older who has internet access and a valid email can get a SCENE card. Any resident who is 16 years of age or older can apply for a SCENE-eligible bank account with a corresponding SCENE ScotiaCard online at scene.ca or at a Scotiabank branch (Please note that parental consent is required for anyone under 16 years of age to obtain a Scotiabank bank account.) Please note that there is an age restriction on the ScotiaCard as well. Any resident who has reached the age of majority in their province of residence (18 years of age in Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec and Prince Edward Island; 19 years of age in British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland/Labrador and the territories) can apply for a SCENE VISA card online at scene.ca or at a Scotiabank branch.

Every SCENE member needs a SCENE membership card (One card required per person).
 
 
A: There is no cost to join the SCENE program.
 
 
A: As the premier entertainment rewards program in Canada, you will be able to earn points toward entertainment rewards beginning initially with free movies, WWE and pro-football screenings and concessions at Cineplex Entertainment theatres.

Every SCENE member needs a SCENE membership card (one card required per person). When you purchase a ticket at a Cineplex Entertainment theatre, you will earn 100 points for your own ticket as well as 50 points per child (maximum of 2 children) under the age of 14 (maximum of 200 points per transaction). You will not accrue points for anyone else over the age of 14 on your SCENE card.

SCENE members that visit Cinema City locations will earn 25 points for your own ticket purchased to a maximum of 50 points per day (based on 2 visits).
 
 
A: In order to earn points faster, you should apply for a SCENE-eligible bank account and the corresponding SCENE ScotiaCard. As a Scotiabank account customer, just by opening a SCENE-eligible account and getting a SCENE ScotiaCard and connecting the SCENE ScotiaCard at scene.ca, you will receive 1000 points (that's enough for 1 movie!). And, if you sign up to have your paycheque deposited directly to your SCENE Scotiabank bank account or 2 pre-authorized debits or credits (or 1 of each) you will receive an additional 1000 points. When you use your SCENE ScotiaCard at Cineplex Entertainment theatres, you will earn 5 points for every $1 you spend. Everywhere else, you will receive 1 point for every $5 spent on retail SCENE ScotiaCard debit purchases.
 
 
A: In order to earn points faster, you should switch to a SCENE ScotiaCard with an existing SCENE eligible bank account. When you use your SCENE ScotiaCard at Cineplex Entertainment theatres, you will earn 5 points for every $1 you spend (maximum 300 points per transaction and 600 points per day). Everywhere else, you will receive 1 point for every $5 spent on retail SCENE ScotiaCard debit purchases.
 
 
A: As a SCENE member you will be able to collect points faster by using your SCENE VISA card. Just by applying, being approved and using the card the first time, you will receive 2000 points. Thereafter, you will receive 5 points for every $1 in purchases made with the card at Cineplex Entertainment locations, and 1 point for every $1 in purchases made with the card at all other locations.
 
 
A: All you need are 1000 points for a free movie. You can also use 1000 points to redeem for a free Concession Combo at the concession stand.
 
 
A: In addition to Cineplex Odeon theatres, the SCENE card is good at all Galaxy Cinemas, Cinema City and Famous Players Theatres (including Coliseum, Colossus, Silver City and Scotiabank ((formerly Paramount)) Theatres).
 
 
A: Your SCENE ScotiaCard card can be used anywhere that debit cards are accepted and you will get 1 point for every $5 you spend. However, if you use your SCENE ScotiaCard at a Cineplex Entertainment theatre you will earn 5 points for every $1 you spend! (maximum 300 points per transaction and 600 points per day)
 
 
A: Your SCENE VISA card can be used anywhere that VISA cards are accepted and you will get 1 point for every dollar you spend. However, if you use your SCENE VISA card at a Cineplex Entertainment theatre, you will earn 5 points for every $1 you spend!
 
 
A: We apologize but SCENE is not available to people under the age of 14 due to privacy legislation in Canada.
 
 
A: Everyone who has a SCENE ScotiaCard or SCENE VISA must have a SCENE membership so you receive the points you earn from your purchases.
 
 
A: Yes, you can use your SCENE card at any eligible Cineplex Odeon, Galaxy Cinemas and Famous Players Theatres (including Collosus, Coliseum, SilverCity and Scotiabank ((formerly Paramount)) Theatres) in Canada. See list of theatres.

A: You can only get SCENE points with a SCENE-eligible bank account and a SCENE ScotiaCard. If you already have a SCENE-eligible bank account, then visit any Scotiabank branch and ask for a SCENE ScotiaCard. If you do not have a SCENE-eligible bank account, you can switch to one or open a new eligible account and connect it to your SCENE ScotiaCard.
 
 
A: I'm sorry but you may only have one ScotiaCard connected to your accounts. The SCENE ScotiaCard will replace your current ScotiaCard and provides the same access to your account information as your old ScotiaCard. To maximize your points, you can only connect one debit card to your SCENE account.
 
 
A: "Concessions" refers to all concession stands in Cineplex Entertainment theatres where you purchase traditional movie snacks (popcorn, fountain drinks, candy, nachos, etc.) as well as all retail-branded outlets (e.g., New York Fries, Pizza Pizza, Pizza Hut, KFC, Burger King, Taco Bell, OutTakes, Yogen Fruz, Alan Smithee's Cafes, Wetzel's Pretzels, Surf City) with the exception of Tim Hortons.
 
 
A: A Concession Combo includes one large popcorn and one large fountain drink.
 
 
A: Yes, that is correct, except at Tim Hortons or alcoholic beverages.
 
 
A: Simply present your SCENE membership card to the Concession Attendant prior to placing your order to get your 10% discount.
 
 
A: The SCENE membership card is an entertainment rewards card that allows guests to earn points for seeing movies at Cineplex Entertainment theatres. It is free to join and points are earned for individual movie ticket transactions. Points are not based on the number of tickets purchased. You must be a member to earn points for your individual ticket purchase. As new partners are added to the SCENE program there may be additional ways to earn points.   A: You should receive your personalized SCENE membership card in the mail within 7 to 10 business days from the time you joined. But you can begin earning SCENE points immediately at Cineplex Entertainment theatres by printing the temporary "card" that you will get by joining online.
b. SCENE ScotiaCard
  A: If you are new to Scotiabank, once your account and account package are ready, you will receive a call indicating where to pick up your account package and SCENE ScotiaCard. If you go to a Scotiabank branch to open a Scotiabank bank account, you will receive your SCENE ScotiaCard at that time. If you have your SCENE card with you, the branch will assist you in connecting your accounts while you are there.
  A: If you are an existing Scotiabank customerand already have a ScotiaCard, you will need to replace it with a SCENE ScotiaCard at any Scotiabank branch to earn SCENE points. If you have your SCENE membership card with you, the branch will assist you in connecting your SCENE ScotiaCard to your SCENE membership while you are there.
c. SCENE VISA card
  A: You can apply for the SCENE VISA card on-line, in-branch, by phone at 1-888-882-8958, or in theatre kiosks. Once approved, existing Scotiabank customers should receive their new cards in the mail within 10 business days. Cards for new Scotiabank customers will be shipped to their local Scotiabank branch, who will contact you to arrange pick up.
 
 
A: (SCENE) You will receive your 250 SCENE bonus points immediately after joining.

A: (SCENE ScotiaCard [new Scotiabank customers]) You will receive the 1000 bonus points for opening a SCENE-eligible Scotiabank bank account and getting the accompanying SCENE ScotiaCard within 2-3 business days after you have picked up your account package and SCENE ScotiaCard. And, if you've enrolled for direct payroll deposit, or 2 pre-authorized debits or credits, you will receive the 1000 bonus points the beginning of the month following the first occurrence of the deposits or payments.

A: (SCENE VISA) You will receive the 2000 bonus points for getting a SCENE VISA card 2-3 business days after you have used your Visa card for the first time to make a purchase. You must make a purchase within 60 days of opening your account to get points.
 
 
A: Yes, you must present your SCENE membership card whenever you go to a Cineplex Entertainment theatre in order to receive your 100 points with the purchase of a ticket. And, of course, you'll want to use your SCENE ScotiaCard/VISA to pay for your purchases to get points faster!
 
 
A: If you currently have a ScotiaCard debit card, all you have to do is go to the branch to request the ScotiaCard be changed to a SCENE ScotiaCard. All of your accounts, access and passwords will automatically be transferred to your new card.

A: If you do not currently have a Scotiabank debit card or account, you will need to open a new SCENE-eligible bank account with Scotiabank and be set up with a SCENE ScotiaCard. Just visit your nearest Scotiabank branch and they will be able to assist you.

A: All you need are 1000 points for a free movie. You can also use 1000 points to redeem for a free Concession Combo at the concession stand.
 
 
A: Your SCENE points have no expiry date. However, you must earn or redeem points at least once during a 24-month period. If there has been no activity within 24 months, your membership will be terminated and you will lose your rewards points. However, if you have a SCENE ScotiaCard this is unlikely as you will always be earning points.
 
 
A: Any resident of Canada 14 years of age or older must have their own SCENE membership card (one card required per person). You will receive 100 points for each movie visit when you present your SCENE card and purchase your theatre ticket. Plus, you can receive an additional 50 points for each child under the age of 14, up to a maximum of 2 children. You cannot receive additional points for anyone over the age of 14 who is accompanying you. But, don't forget, if you pay for your tickets and/or concession using your SCENE ScotiaCard you will receive 5 points for every $1 you spend to a maximum of 300 points per debit purchase.
 
 
A: We apologize but points are not transferable. However, once you redeem your points, you may give the free tickets or other rewards to whomever you wish.
 
 
A: Yes, all points will be combined as we will connect your cards automatically to your SCENE membership.
 
 
A: You can use your SCENE card at any participating Cineplex Entertainment theatre including Cineplex Odeon, Galaxy Cinemas, Cinema City and Famous Players Theatres (including Coliseum, Colossus, SilverCity and Scotiabank ((formerly Paramount)) Theatres). Your SCENE ScotiaCard can be used anywhere a debit card can be used and it also provides you access to Scotiabank's electronic channels including ABMs and Direct Payment.

Your SCENE VISA card can be used at over 24 million shops, restaurants, hotels and entertainment venues and service establishments in over 165 countries around the world displaying the VISA symbol.
 
 
A: Your SCENE ScotiaCard earns you 5 points for every $1 you spend at a Cineplex Entertainment theatre for movie tickets and concessions. But, that's not all, you can use your SCENE ScotiaCard anywhere that you normally use a debit card and you will earn 1 point for every $5 you spend anywhere you can use a debit card to make a purchase.
 
 
A: Your SCENE VISA earns you 5 points for every $1 you spend at a Cineplex Entertainment theatre for movie tickets and concession purchases. But, that's not all, you can use your SCENE VISA anywhere that accepts VISA and you will earn 1 point for every $1 you spend.
 
 
A: As long as you sign up for both cards, get a SCENE-eligible Scotiabank account and SCENE ScotiaCard, connect your SCENE ScotiaCard to your SCENE membership, sign up for direct paycheque deposit or 2 or more pre-authorized credits or debits (bill payments), you will receive 2250 points. That should kick-start your movie-going!

A: You can find out how many points you have 24/7 simply by logging in to scene.ca and clicking on My Account. In addition, whenever you purchase a theatre ticket at a Cineplex Entertainment theatre, you will find your points balance printed right on your ticket stub.
 
 
A: It's simple. Once you have 1000 points or more and you want to redeem them, just present your SCENE card at the Box Office and tell the Ticket Attendant that you want to redeem points. Alternatively, you can swipe your SCENE card at the automated ticketing kiosk or input your membership number and password when you purchase your ticket online at JUMP! through scene.ca or cineplex.com. If you want to redeem points for a free Concession Combo, present your SCENE card at the concession stand and tell the Concession Attendant that you want to redeem your points or you can swipe your SCENE card at the automated ticketing kiosk for your free Concession Combo.

A: Currently, the program allows for redemption at Cineplex Entertainment theatres and on-line at scene.ca “The SCENE Music Store”. Hopefully, in the future we will be announcing exciting new rewards and partners where you can earn points or redeem them.
 
 
A: On scene.ca or cineplex.com websites, input your SCENE membership number. The points will automatically be credited to your SCENE account. To maximize your SCENE points, pay for your theatre tickets with your SCENE ScotiaCard or VISA card and you will receive 5 points for every $1 you spend on your ticket. The additional points will also be automatically credited to your SCENE account. And, SCENE members who purchase their tickets online through cineplex.com's JUMP! ticketing service will receive an additional 20 rewards points which will be allocated to the SCENE membership number entered during the purchase.
 
 
A: Yes, the free movie tickets are transferable.
 
 
A: There is no limit to how many free movie tickets you can redeem at one time.
 
 
A: The 2000 bonus points will be applied to the first one who uses his/her VISA card to make a purchase. If you both make a purchase the same day, the points will be split evenly between the 2 cards.

All subsequent points earned on the VISA card will be applied to the SCENE membership of the VISA cardholder who made the purchase; provided both VISA cardholders have enrolled and connected their own SCENE VISA card to their own SCENE membership.
 
 
A: If both you and your spouse have SCENE Membership cards that are connected to the SCENE VISA account, the points from spend on your child's card will go to the primary cardholder's account. If only the secondary cardholder on the VISA account has a SCENE Membership card, that person will receive the points from your child's VISA spend.
 
 
A: A. Your SCENE VISA card will be connected to your SCENE membership account. For your joint VISA account, you will receive all of the SCENE points associated with your spend on that SCENE VISA card. If the co-borrower on your joint account has their own SCENE membership, they receive the SCENE points associated with their VISA purchases. If the co-borrower does not have a SCENE membership account, the primary cardholder will receive their points.
 
 
A: If you both have a SCENE membership card, the bonus points will be split evenly between your cards. (If there are 3 people on the joint account, the points will be divided 3 ways.)
 
 
A: For security purposes and to prevent fraudulent use of the program, a SCENE member can only use their SCENE card twice in one day to earn points for two admission purchases for themselves (i.e., member sees two movies in one day).

A: We apologize but points may only be redeemed at this time for movie admissions and/or a Concession Combo.
 
 
A: There is a maximum of 200 points per transaction at Cineplex Entertainment theatres. You will earn 100 points for your individual ticket purchase, for up to 2 unique performances per day. If you purchase children’s tickets during your transaction, you will be awarded with up to 100 bonus points (50 points per child ticket, max 2 per day), as children under 14 years of age cannot become members) .

SCENE members can earn points faster at Cineplex Entertainment theatres when they use both their SCENE membership card (points earned for their ticket purchase) and their SCENE ScotiaCard or SCENE Visa card simultaneously when purchasing movie tickets or concessions (points earned on the value of purchase).

If you have a different version of browser, you may have problems with speed or functionality on the site. If you have an older browser that isn't capable of secure online transactions, you won't be able to redeem rewards or manage your account.

To get access to all the features on the site, you have to enable "cookies" in your browser. That's because SCENE.ca uses "session cookies", or little text files that reside in memory and persist only as long as the browser is open. A cookie only holds the information that is uniquely generated when you log on to SCENE.ca and persists only as long as your browser is open. This cookie allows your account information to be presented to you as you browse the SCENE.ca site. When you leave SCENE.ca and close your browser, the information in the session cookie is removed from your computer's memory. This protects your privacy and keeps your computer secure.
