Your SCENE points balance and account number aren’t changing. If you currently have a Scotiabank credit or debit card that earns Scotia Rewards® points, your Scotia Rewards points balance will be automatically transferred to your Scene+ account on November 22 at the same value1. If you are a current Scotia Rewards program member who does not have a SCENE account, you will be sent your new Scene+ account details closer to November 22.

Scene+TM, a joint venture between Scotiabank® and Cineplex®, brings together two of Canada’s most popular rewards programs, SCENE® and Scotia Rewards®, to create an evolved program that gives members something new to look forward to.


Scene+ will be one of Canada’s largest loyalty programs that offers members rewards their way – allowing them to earn and redeem Scene+ points for entertainment, movies, travel, shopping, dining, and banking.


Members can also accelerate their earning power with eight Scotiabank credit and debit cards.

More ways to earn and redeem points for rewards with Scene+ Travel, entertainment at Cineplex Theatres, the Cineplex Store®, The Rec Room® and Playdium®, and dining at Swiss Chalet®, Harvey’s®, East Side Marios®, Montana’s®, Kelseys®, Bier Markt®, Fionn MacCools®, D’Arcy McGee’s®, Paddy Flaherty’s® and Tir nan Og®


More options to redeem points including merchandise at Apple and Best Buy e-stores, gift cards from over 60 national retailers, or using points towards credit statements on eligible Scotiabank debit and credit cards.

The SCENE®* and Scotia Rewards programs** are merging to become Scene+. The rewards you love with your Scotia Rewards program including travel and the Apple and Best Buy e-catalogues will still be available – and more.


All Scotiabank products that previously earned Scotia Rewards points will now earn Scene+ points as of November 22, 2021. Existing points will be automatically transferred to Scene+ at the same value.

These changes are being made to bring more options to our customers. Scene+ brings together the great features of the SCENE and Scotia Rewards programs to become one best in class loyalty program.

The Scene+ rewards program will come into effect on November 22, 2021.

Your continued membership and participation in the Scene+ program after November 21, 2021 means that you agree to the updated Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, as changed. If you do not agree to the changes, you can close your Scene+ account by contacting us at 1-866-586-2805.

If you are a current SCENE member, your SCENE and/or Scotia Rewards points will be transferred to your Scene+ membership on November 22, 2021, at the same value. For example, if you have a balance of 100 SCENE or Scotia Rewards points, 100 Scene+ points will be transferred to your Scene+ membership. Your membership number will not change and your account log in information will remain the same.

If you are not a current SCENE member, you will automatically become a member and an account will be created for you on November 22, 2021. Your Scotia Rewards points will be transferred at the same value to this new Scene+ membership on that same day. For example, if you have 100 Scotia Rewards points, 100 Scene+ points will be transferred to your new Scene+ membership. A new Scene+ membership number including the new Scene+ terms and conditions will be sent to you beginning November 22, 2021.

Existing SCENE points can be viewed by logging in to www.scene.ca You’ll need your SCENE card number to log in. If you have forgotten your card number, please go to scene.ca/sendmycard to have it emailed to you.


If you have a Scotiabank SCENE card, you can also view your points through Scotia OnLine and the Scotiabank app. Existing Scotia Rewards points can be viewed by accessing your Scotia Rewards account through Scotia OnLine.


After November 22, 2021, your point balance will be available at www.sceneplus.ca

You can get your SCENE membership number emailed to you by visiting www.scene.ca/sendmycard

If you already have a SCENE membership, your SCENE and/or Scotia Rewards points will be converted to Scene+ points and added to your existing SCENE membership at the same value. Your membership number and log in information will not change. You will not receive a new plastic card, and you’ll be able to continue using your existing card and/or access your digital Scene+ card through the Scene+ app or on www.sceneplus.ca as of November 22, 2021.


If you do not have a SCENE membership, you will be enrolled automatically as a member of the Scene+ program, and a new membership will be created for you. Your Scotia Rewards points will be transferred to this new Scene+ membership at the same value. A new Scene+ membership number will be sent to you beginning November 22, 2021. If you have a valid email on file with Scotiabank, you will be receiving a digital Scene+ membership card.

Your Scene+ account may be closed if you don’t use your Scene+ Membership Card to earn, redeem or complete any other reward transaction activity in more than 24 consecutive months.


However, one exception is that if you have a Scene+ Scotiabank Product, your Scene+ points will not expire as long as your Scotiabank product that is eligible for the Scene+ program remains open.


You’ll be provided with notice in advance if your account is ever at risk of being closed.

Scene+ Travel

You can earn and redeem when you book your next trip with Scene+ Travel – our third-party service travel centre that is part of the new Scene+ program. Earn 3 points for every $1 you spend on your hotel and car rental when booked through Scene+ Travel. Redeem in increments of 100 points for $1 toward your next flight, hotel, or car rental when you book with Scene+ Travel.

Scene+ Dining

You’ll still be able to earn and redeem points and over 800+ restaurant locations, including Swiss Chalet, Harvey’s, Montana’s and more. You can go to scene.ca/dining for more info.

Scene+ Shopping

After November 22, 2021, you’ll be able to redeem your Scene+ points for gift cards at over 60 popular brands and Apple and Best Buy products through the new Scene+ website.

If you are a Quebec resident with a Scotiabank product that earns Scotia Rewards points, you may see a different points requirement for Points for Credit and Apple and Best Buy merchandise redemptions on our website or mobile app effective November 22, 2021. See charts below for details.

If you are experiencing a different points requirement, please follow the below steps to receive a points adjustment:

  1. Browse through the Points for Credit page and/ or Apple and Best Buy catalogues on sceneplus.ca and choose the item(s) you wish to redeem with your points.
  2. Contact us at 1-866-586-2805 to inquire about getting a points adjustment to account for the difference between the points requirements prior to November 21, 2021 and the points requirements displayed as of November 22, 2021.
  3. If eligible, continue with the online redemption as soon as the adjusted points are reflected in your Scene+ account.

Scene+ Entertainment

You’ll still be able to earn and redeem points at Cineplex® Theatres, Cineplex Store®, The Rec Room® and Playdium®. You can go to scene.ca/sceneplus for more information.

You may access the Scene+ Terms and Conditions at www.scene.ca/sceneplus-terms. You may also request a paper copy of the Scene+ Terms and Conditions by contacting Scene LP at 1-866-586-2805.

For Quebec residents only, if you keep your credit card(s) open after December 22, 2021, we’ll consider that you’ve accepted the program changes. If you don’t want to accept these changes, you may close your credit card(s) without additional cost or penalty, within 30 days of the effective date of the change (by December 22, 2021). You’ll have 60 days from the date of credit card closure to redeem the points you’ve earned before closing your account.

When you use a Scene+ Scotiabank Product to purchase a product or service, or when you use your membership card at Cineplex locations, information about the service or transaction is shared with Scene LP. As other rewards partners are added to the Scene+ program, information about your transactions at these companies will be shared with Scene LP as well. Subject to your privacy choices, your information will be shared with Scotiabank and Cineplex. Lastly, Scene LP may use service providers to process or host data, conduct analytics or marketing, or similar services; however, that data will be protected in accordance with the Scene+ Privacy Policy.

Your wishes will be respected. For example, you can ask for your enrollment information or device ID not to be shared by contacting Scene LP at scene.ca/contact-us. However, please note that Scene LP may still share your personal information as is reasonably necessary to operate the program (e.g., disclose available redemption points, so that you can redeem points at rewards partners).

Scene LP collects information that is reasonably necessary to offer and operate the Program. Subject to your privacy choices, this includes information about enrollment, your use of Scene+ Scotiabank and Cineplex products, your use of your Scene+ Membership card at other rewards partners, information about point redemptions, device and service provider, websites you visit, your location, and certain other information relating to account creation, promotions or surveys.

Scene LP will retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the information was collected, and otherwise to meet statutory obligations and reasonable business requirements. After that time, your information is electronically purged.

No. However, Scene LP may conduct analytics or create anonymous and aggregated data, which may be sold to third parties.
