POINTS CONVERSION FEATURE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Terms & Conditions
These Points Conversion Feature - Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to your Scotiabank credit card account or debit account (including associated credit or debit cards for each account) that earns Scotia Rewards points (also referred to as a “Program Card Account” and each card associated with the Program Card Account referred to as a “Program Card”) and your SCENE Points and SCENE membership including the SCENE program terms and conditions (the “SCENE Program”)
These Terms are in addition to and supplement the terms and conditions that apply to your Scotia Rewards program (at scotiarewards.com) and SCENE Program (at scene.ca). You should review your program terms and conditions before each points conversion under these Terms.
You agree that each time you submit a request to convert Scotia Rewards points to/from SCENE points, you are agreeing to these Terms.
Conversion of Scotia Rewards points to/from SCENE points: The Bank of Nova Scotia (also referred to as “Scotiabank”) and SCENE GP (collectively, “we” or “our” or “us” ) may permit you to convert Scotia Rewards points earned or associated with a Program Card Account to SCENE points or convert SCENE points to Scotia Rewards points, and those points will be applied to the Scotia Rewards or SCENE account, as the case may be, that you designate for such conversion, subject to the conditions and restrictions set out in these Terms.
There is a maximum of four conversions permitted in a 24 hours period, either from or to your Scotia Rewards Accounts or SCENE account, as applicable, unless we allow you an exception to that maximum number of conversions in our sole discretion.
We may also prohibit the conversion of Scotia Rewards or SCENE points, or further limit the number of Scotia Rewards or SCENE points that may be converted, including the number of points required for any conversion, all in our sole discretion.
Rates that Apply to Conversions: The rate of conversion of Scotia Rewards points to/from SCENE Points in each case will be determined by us, Scotiabank for Scotia Rewards points and SCENE GP, for SCENE Points, each in our sole discretion. We may modify the rate of conversion at any time in our sole discretion. Visit scotiarewards.com to see the current rates of conversion that apply to points at the time you request your conversion.
Requirements to Convert Points:
To convert Scotia Rewards or SCENE points under these Terms:
(i) the Program Card Account associated with those Scotia Rewards points and the SCENE Account associated with those SCENE points must be in good standing under your Scotia Rewards program terms and conditions and under the SCENE program terms and conditions,
(ii) the individual in whose SCENE account you want to convert your Scotia Rewards points must be a member the SCENE program and have a valid SCENE account,
(iii) the Program Card Account must be in good standing under the Scotia Rewards program terms and conditions,
(iv) you must have the minimum number of Scotia Rewards or SCENE points, as the case may be, required for conversion to/from SCENE Points that are set at the time that you request the conversion; and
(v) you must be able to successfully log-in to both the Scotia Rewards account and SCENE points account at the time of the transaction.
Timing: The conversion of Scotia Rewards points into SCENE points and/or the conversion of SCENE points into Scotia Rewards point will occur in real time and will appear in your Scotia Rewards Account or SCENE Account, as applicable.
Conversion of Scotia Rewards points or SCENE points once submitted is final and may not be reversed or cancelled.
Conversion is a Redemption: A conversion of Scotia Rewards points under these Terms is the same as redeeming Scotia Rewards points under the Scotia Rewards program terms and conditions.
Changing or modifying the terms and conditions of this Points Conversion Feature: We reserve the right to terminate, change, or modify these Terms, including the requirements for conversions and the rates that apply to conversions. We will provide you with any notice required to make such changes as required by law and as required by the Scotia Rewards program or SCENE points program.
